Hi! Back From Hiatus!
So...it's almost one and I'm supposed to wake up tomorrow at nine. Well. Know why I'm online now? Just transferred money to and fro, and applied to IH, BUT THEN REALISED THE BATHROOM FACILITIES ARE SHARED. Man. I don't wanna SHARE anything. I'm a selfish little spoilt brat, kae??? Anyway, why would I wanna share my toilet bowl with so many other varieties of smelly butts??? IH doesn't look too good anymore...*sob*
Oh well, other than that, I can't believe Australia lost to Italy. I mean, it would have been fine, if the final goal wasn't so controversial. I mean, that Spanish referee was totalling bullshitting. Australia SO deserved to win, especially after that triumphant comeback against Italy in the second half, after Materazzi got red-carded. The ball was perpetually theirs lah, in the second half. What's the use of enjoying soccer if the rules get mangled? What's the use of being a skilful player if the referees hate your guts? So FIF***ing stupid.
I am SO going to change this layout. So. Going blogskin-hunting right now, and thanks to the people who tag me anyway, haha! Toodles!

Australia vs Greece
Haha, guess who won... :) Oh well, it wasn't much of a soccer match though, I'll definitely be looking forward to FIFA!!! Only the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals would be worth watching though, since those would be the best and the brightest head-to-head... I'd also be interested in watching Australia play anyway, even though their performance tonight was less than stellar. One goal, scored during the first half, then the rest of the game was a bit of ragtag ball possessions and near-goals. Oh, and if you haven't guessed, Australia won. Hmm...you must be wondering what the **** I'm doing watching soccer when I still am in that essay frenzy, well...the call of the crowds on TV were too irresistable. There's also something about the lure of a ball being kicked around and into nets, see? That lure is what makes me shriek and shout when Brazil won the world cup the last time. Hah. Well.
I'm going to get a graphic tablet soon, and with that, hopefully my blog will get spiced up. The EAP essay is finally over and done with, but the only essay I've got a bone to pick with is the HOI essay. DIE HOI!!! Oh well, so the weekend will be devoted to doing some more HOI research and doing up the rest of the essay. Heck, I spent 4 hours on two paragraphs lah!!! And still they're not up to standards. Academic writing just drives me crazy. The only time when I could get my creative juices flowing was during that M&C article thing. Maybe I should just sign up for that shirt design contest on Trinity just to vent my nerves, gah. I miss drawing on actual A4 sized pieces of paper, instead of doodling on the edge of lecture books and worksheets. Unfortunately, time waits for no man, me especially since I'm a woman. =_=
So I' m just glad that I got 2 long johns for 20 bucks, to last me all through winter. And I'm making ammendments to my previous announcement of that "thank you" note: besides Anita, those people who gave that beautiful necklace were Jessica, Lucia, Mei and Calista!!! Thanks you guys!!! Haha, and guess what they gave Adlin for her birthday??? She got some ladies' boxer shorts lah, haha! So funny! The look on Adlin's face when she opened that persent was priceless man. I should have recorded. Reminds me of the time my church friend got a G-string set as a birthday present, haha, so hilarious!
Initially, I thought the next Fifa would be in 2007...did I get my dates wrong @_@??? Oh well, who cares, at least it's finally arrived. I still remember the first time I got attached to soccer at the church camp in 2002. Came back to Singapore in time to watch the finals. Too bad this year's world cup is in Germany. That means the matches will be aired like super early in the wee hours of the morning, so sad. Did I mention how much I love drums? Oh my gosh, the drum lessons every Thursday aren't enough lah. So this year my resolutionwas to pick up drums, next year it will be to learn Jap. Yeap. Oh yes...I have to to M&C presentation research...shit...

Happy Birthday To Me~
Muahahaha! 17 years of being a blessing to everyone around me, but still they show no gratitude, hmm... Well, this year's 17th birthday sure held lots of firsts for me, so I'm gonna list them, lest I forget (which I probably won't but what if I suddenly woke up one morning with mental disorders???):
1. First birthday in Australia
2. First time eating the Aussie Burger. Symbolic somehow??? I feel like I'm in a Lahiri story about displacement and stuff. Which is why they probably chose her text, since we're overseas students...-__-
3. Read the first volume of Meru Puri, it was damn cute
4. Ate my first milky LCM. It was gorgeous! It used to be called Rice Krispies back when I was young...and now it's made a comeback, hahahaha!!!
5. Got a surprise dinner party from all my relatives at Mabrown. Awww...it was so touching, and it ALMOST succeeded in surprising me...somewhat...at the last minute. But I didn't for once expect it to happen, so there! So kind of them all...
6. First time someone has baked cookies for me Adi* :) All the sweetness of friendship... Haha I'm grossing myself out! *pats*
7. First time someone other than my Mom made lunch for me, Rach*!!! Loved the smoked salmon dear!!! *hugs*
8. First piece of birthday jewelry from Anita, so cool! The X looks THE cool on me la, thanx! ;) So you knew how chio I was from the start, haha!
9. First birthday song sung in the EB Dining Hall for me, haha! Thanks to all my other friends who were there and were not, cuz I know you'll be thinking about me all the same, about how wonderful I am and along those lines... :)
10. Thanx to Hy for specially opening that MSN window to wish me Happy B'day even though I wasn't at my com! ;)
Man, and you know what made the day sweeter? There was this kawaii little baby at the next table who wanted some of my birthday cake! So, to show how magnanimous I was, he managed to get his teeny hands on some of my chocolate cake, haha... So cute, kept looking over to our table after I posed for that psychotic shot with me holding that big metal knife and smiling like a maniac. I may even decide to put it up, haha!
Went out hunting for LCDs and Plasmas today mostly, and didn't touch any work at all, since it is sacrilegious to do work on birthdays, mine especially. So in the end my aunt bought this 42-inch Plasma. Looking forward to watching the thrid instalment of LOTR on it, it's going to be so fab! And I bought three packs of Kinder Bueno for myself as mini birthday presents, they're so much better than Kit Kat!!! X3
But to tell the truth, I would have just gone for a simple plate of Hokkien Mee for my birthday dinner, a simple meal of $3 instead of a restaurant affair (of course lah, the candles would have to be transferred to the Mee and stuck in it, how fun'd that be?). Now, I'll do anything for a takoyaki (the octopus one, but ham and cheese is fine).
After such a lovely day indeed, I am like that blown-out candle on the cake now, and I can almost qualify for that coffin part...

Four Weddings and a Funeral
In my case, four essays and six exams... I'm feeling depressed now for no particular reason, so must be puberty... My M&C group is supposed to do this presentation project about India and Bollywood, oh wow. The only thing I know about Bollywood and its history is: Aishwariah Rai. And I doubt even if I'd spelt her name correctly O_O And the only impression I have of Indian movies are two lovers playing with a tree in between with funny music in the background, those cliche scenes, harhar.
Oh well, at least my job's easy, finding out about famous directors and stars and such, but I wonder what movie we're gonna use, and how we're gonna have to download that movie...wonder if Limewire has it...
This past week has been full of ups and downs, predictable yet surprising at times. Downs because I had to wake up at about 4am to do my HOI plan, stay up late to type M&C essay, stay back late to throw $7 worth of photocopying into my HOI research. On the other hand, haha, we had the best accounting tutorial ever (in which the teacher wasn't present and in which we left the class after he wasn't here for 20min), I can better open up in class now that I've sorta familiarised myself with my tute people (except for Lit. and drama and maths1 but WATEVA), I've started to trust the tram system and stopped walking to the city or vice-versa, and I have FINALLY finished my M&C essay *claps*
Which means, of course, that I'd have to do my EAP and HOI essays on my birthday...this "suxor" (allora: 2005) :) Referencing blues... I replayed JJ's 3rd album again on the way home on Wednesday, ahhhh...brought back so many beloved memories, I love every song in that album. Besides that, well, I think my shoes are rotting, but as long as no one else can smell them, it's alright. For now. I really feel the effects of being born in the year of the Snake here, the dry skin I have is starting to look and feel scaly, eeeuuurrrgghhh!!! Plus the extraordinarily irritating person in my Maths 1 class sucked up so much to RB that I wanted to puke >.< Can't stand it, his sucking-up is so explicit can??? All his remarks are loud and lame, but after all are only for attention-seeking purposes, I'm sometimes so disgusted my hair stands.
Gah, well, glad I'm free for the last period tomorrow. BTW, did I mention? Japanese is just such the coolest!!! Overhearing all the Jap people talking in my M&C class is so refreshing. Their language is so smooth and fluent, unlike English, which can be bumpy, or Chinese, which is too rolly (-_- on the tongue I mean). When I have more free time at Uni, I SHALL GO FOR JAP HOLIDAY CLASSES. For now though, I'll just stick to my craving for takoyaki... *drools*
Really *shakes head* For all the essays we do, we should at least receive some money... $_$

Big Bigger Biggest Noise
Sigh...So much work to do, I barely have time to blog. I didn't blog for this whole week, so to update you on my life, I bought Black Cat anime, so cool! I majority of the week stressing about upcoming assignments. The only day of the week I actually enjoyed myself was on Friday, when I went out with J to go anime hunting. Found this really good anime bargain shop (I took the credit of course, since I stumbled upon it), which would save me about $40 per anime. So J wasted $95 on Full metal Panic when I think she could have gotten it for $60? She was so xin tong I had to comfort her all the way back to the Uni on the tram, where she accused me of not telling her about the shop sooner. Me, being patient, and kind, and etc. etc. accepted the accusations with a bowed head and cheeky grin, and then both of us started talking about how this shuaige in her class proclaimed that he could cook ("no lar, I dun like him la" was what she insistently put into my head, which I insistently pushed OUT OF my head)(but then again he already has a gf, so I can understand her reluctance).
Oh, so where was I? Yar, so then that person J mentioned said he could cook char siew and we started laughing like maniacs, "I can cook also wat, instant noodles with char siew" or "So what if he cooks char siew? Is he gonna feed his wife char siew every day???" or "Hey, I can cook DIFFERENT flavours of instant noodles okay, like tom yam, laksa, chicken etc. and fried egg...".
Ok, rather lame conversation, but for some reason, it got us high and it got people on the tram glancing at us, especially that guy sitting perpendicular to our seat, kept giving us weird sidelong looks that perpetually screamed "xiao-arh". But, anyway, on the way to Big Noise, somehow this topic came up about Buddhist monks in helicopters coming to join Big Noise with their gongs and set us off laughing again. By the time we reached the Bulpadock, I was already quite high (it's the endorphins fault).
Big Noise was so cool. A police helicopter actually came to check us out about two times, and we just made louder noises, haha! Other than that, Big Noise could have been more fun if I'd actually remembered to bring my camera along (it's rotting away in the cupboard) and if the guys standing in front could have actually considered how short the girls behind were and ACTUALLY BEND DOWN to accomodate us... Argh. So frustrating. Caught glimpses of the performances, but NO FAIR!!! The acrobat/performer was so cool, and supposedly the drummer with the cap was quite hot, but I didn't look (blocked by all the shoulders and heads la, **** them).
After Big Noise, went down to the city for dinner together with A, C and L and ate at Ajisen ramen. OMG the ramen was just so good, just that the portion was too much for me to finish (I ate the Gyoza ramen, having heard somewhere that it was famous or something). I guess I like the noodles' texture because of it's similarity to you mian or ban mian. >.< Next time I'm trying that miso ramen...
Minimum temperature is 7 next week, harrumph. If I start to wear that winter jacket I think I'll look like an intellectual polar bear. Sans fur. I might as well smear myself all over with whale blubber, but for some reason, people don't like fats being smeared on furniture. Or books. So what if I'm dead or I dieded? It still means the same thing...

Liu Xing Zhu Jiao???
Is there a track like this in JJ Lin's 4th album? The pirated version I got from M'sia has 12 tracks. Well, an extra for me, but what song is it? Am hoping people who have gotten his Cao Cao album can clarify this mystery for me, haha! Busy ripping his cds into my MP3 player so I can bring him around wherever I go *screams* He looks so uber-cool on the CD cover, I wanna hug him (the only thing stopping me from doing that is because he is 2-d on the cover). Haha, can't wait to listen to all the songs *rubs hands in glee*.
Went shopping around today since my cousin is going for work experience in the country for about 3 weeks. So she bought all these groceries like fish sauce, instant noodles etc. Ate Assorted Balls with Noodles in Soup today, and my cousin brought up this topic about sheep's balls, so gross!!! People eat them (I'll not be surprised if these people ate humans too), for what? And the fishcake-mushroom combo looked like a mini-brain on top of some white fats. The raw mushroomy taste made me wanna barf.
It was so crowded in the market section at Box Hill, and all the sellers were "tao jia huan jia"ing in loud voices (so tragic that my com can't type chinese. I'm being isolated from my mother tongue!!! ...if not for Lin Jun Jie... :) ...) and everyone was just being annoying by pushing everybody else. Humph. But the parsley smelt good... Then went down to Coles and I bought a Kinder Bueno bar. Forgot how good it tasted, and the car in the lucky draw looks quite snazzy and cool, but it's like one-in-a-million chance I'd win it lah, since I only bought one measly bar... (Didn't know ripping music took such a long time)
Oops, gotta go search for some more disc info liao. At least this blog entry is short *hears sighs of relief all around*

FINE THEN DON"T READ MY BLOG.

Love Livin' Life Lazy
Come mid-year, after exams, it's time for a change of blogskin. No rotten eggs or Camembert cheese please, I'll not change my blog addie, kae??? I just hate seeing the same uniformity every day. One problem is that I can't find a blogskin I like that will actually accomodate Viola, my pet fish (on the links page. go feed her).
I'm just slacking in front of this glowing bright screen now. My cousin has her friends over (I may need ear plugs soon), but at least they're not breaking windows or making prank calls (what was I thinking *smacks forehead* 21-year-olds don't prank call...). So right now I'm holed up in my room, trying to avoid finishing my Maths ws. And my library magazine is overdue by about $2 already, although I can't see any reason for this particular problem since I've returned every single damned thing that belongs to the library back (who wants your stoopid books anyway?!?). 'Specially since I borrowed that Time magazine for M&C academic purposes... Hard work never really gets repaid unless you speak up. OMG. They're banging about in the living room now. Gosh. For such "lady-like" women, they make really good stompy elephant sounds.
Just revisited and updated all my links. Though yanny's blog and shitian's blog are protected...from what? Maniacal stalkers who want to terrorise two random girls??? How about the common people who want to read about their lives? Sigh...so exclusive, like high-end night club.
Note to self: No more tuna from EB dining hall. Tastes horrid. Just glad that since my Lit. tute's been changed, Friday life is gewd, babeee!!! Thanks to Ad, J and An. All my EAP tute people rawk too, with one exception...but... Woke up so early today, luckily I had my cornflakes =_=. And there was heavy rain today in the city, pouring like someone up there holding the bladder for very long, then let loose. My little piggy didn't go to market today, so poor thing. It got kinda soggy hanging around on my backpackie, awwwww.... So I endured and rewarded myself with a large fries from Mcdonalds. Which eventually turned cold and wet thanks to its environment being cold and wet too. I took half an hour munching through them and looking to see if the other people on the tram were jealous, haha! (Unfortunately, no one was cuz I was eating politely unobtrusively)
Travelling backwards, facing the wrong way, watchamacallit etc. It isn't really nauseating until you concentrate on it. So I didn't, of course. If not my fries would have ended up as "potato patties" on someone else's lap (yes I'm quoting you Addy) (by the way, you should just go buy Adicolor la, since it's so synonymous with your name). I saw 3 absolutely cute bow-wows on my way past the petshop, aaahhhhhh!!!! What's the whole point of ding-dongs on the bus when half of them are out-of-order? Sometimes you don't just wanna slap someone's eyeballs, you wanna poke them REAL hard and make them bleed (for now, there is only one person so far I would do that to, Rach would know *wink* *wink*) (this is called in-text use of nonverbal communication) (I have gotten downright SICK of that SICKENING cliche about SICKO eye contact) (and EAP discussions are such disasters they're just so much fun!!!)
*faints from excessive blabbering*
